Alen Mamrout is the visionary CEO and founder of American Exchange Group, a fashion and lifestyle company he launched in 2008. Immigrating from Syria as a child, Alen began his entrepreneurial path as a teenager in New York City, where he opened ten fine jewelry retail stores. Identifying a market gap in fast fashion watches, he started sourcing and designing products from Asia, which led to the creation of American Exchange Group.
Through mergers and acquisitions, it has turned into a powerhouse, rapidly expanding into footwear, fashion accessories, handbags, luggage, beauty/personal care, sportswear, and a portfolio of more than 30 owned and licensed brands, with the acquisitions of Jonathan Adler, Aerosoles, White Mountain, Indie Lee, and NatureWell, among others. Alen excels at unlocking the value of brands by turning them into multi-category lifestyle brands with distribution to major retailers globally. His leadership is defined by a highly engaged and detail-driven approach across all aspects of the business, which has been instrumental in the company’s growth. This same disciplined and detail-focused philosophy extends to his real estate ventures, where a strong emphasis on execution, oversight, and thoughtful development has consistently set his portfolio apart. Under his leadership, American Exchange Group has grown to over 1,000 employees globally and continues to expand.
